It feels good to give
Shelby volunteered at Catholic Charities one summer. It was during a time when he was immersed in his faith. He was very devoted to the Catholic Church and was passionate about helping those in need. I remember dropping him off a lot of times and he was so eager to get in there and do whatever was needed. Most of the time he was moving heavy boxes and helping to organize donations, but he was happy to do it.
Catholic Charities provides many service for low income families as well as no income and homeless individuals and families. We often donate used clothing and household items. They, in turn, give - not sell - to those in need.
