This Saturday, 1/27/18, from 10:30a - 1p, there will be a Town Hall meeting along with a Teen Workshop to talk about ways the people of Memphis are fighting against the deadly Opioid Epidemic.

I am taking a break from reporting opiate related news pieces in order to raise awareness about an issue that has plagued society for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. People become homeless for many different reasons, one of which is drug addiction. Don’t get me wrong, not all homeless people are addicted to drugs or alcohol. In any case, when people are in need and are unable to help themselves, it is up to the rest of us to lend a hand and show some charity.
