More killing is not the answer

While I agree that tougher penalties for drug dealers and traffickers are definitely needed, I don't know if the death penalty is the answer. What I do know is that the money that is meant to fight the epidemic that has claimed countless lives needs to be spent on quality treatment centers for people who don't have insurance and Post Opioid Response Teams across the nation. PORTs need to be implemented in every county affected to persuade overdosed victims into receiving drug treatment. We absolutely cannot arrest our way out of this current grave situation that is adversely affecting our country. Check out the article and let me know what you think about it.
