TN Redline and the Vignette

TAADAS (Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug & other Addiction Services) has put together a helpline for people and families of people suffering from the disease of addiction called TN Redline. Some time ago, I told you all about Shelby County's Opioid Epidemic initiative. It's gaining speed and they are gathering their funding to implement all of the critical programs designed to combat the crisis. To promote the TN Redline and awareness of the disease of addiction, the Shelby County Health Dept teamed up with Action News 5, here in Memphis, TN, and filmed a public service announcement. I was lucky enough to have been chosen to participate. The Vignette is due to air the next 3 Tuesdays, 6/12, 6/19 & 6/26 on Action News 5 during the 5pm news broadcast.

Doing this spot was very important to me in that I will be able to reach many more people in the spirit of spreading awareness and removing the stigma of the disease of addiction. In this way, I hope to facilitate change, recovery and saved lives. The Vignette is only one minute long, but it definitely targets they key taking points of the conversations we all need to have.
